UNIVERSAL EPOXY · THE GRAND STRAND
A more finished floor starts with the right system.
Understand the benefits of concrete coatings—and what your slab needs before installation.

A coordinated look
Flake, quartz and metallic finishes give concrete a new appearance. Choose a system and color for your space, lighting and use.
A surface easier to clean
A properly selected coating creates a sealed finish that is easier to sweep and clean than bare porous concrete. Clean spills promptly and follow the care instructions for your system.
Preparation comes first
Surface condition, existing coatings, cracks and moisture affect the work required. We inspect the concrete before confirming the coating system and price.
From a bare slab to a finished room.
Before and after a Universal Epoxy interior coating project.
What a coating can—and cannot—do.
A coating can improve the appearance and cleanability of a suitable concrete slab. It does not repair a structural problem or stop the concrete beneath it from moving. Cracks and joints need an appropriate preparation plan; movement may still show through a finished floor.
Choose for the conditions.
A garage, an exposed driveway and a pool deck place different demands on a coating. Discuss sunlight, water exposure, drainage, traffic and cleaning needs. Texture can improve slip resistance, but no floor is slip-proof, especially when wet or contaminated.
Confirm the schedule and specification.
Preparation, repairs, weather, products and curing requirements determine the project schedule. Confirm when you can walk on the surface, move furniture back and park vehicles. Stain resistance, chemical resistance and any special properties depend on the specific products used.
Compare the complete quote.
Look for a clear area, preparation scope, repair plan, coating specification and return-to-use guidance. Our starting prices are $6 per square foot for flake, $9 for quartz and $14 for metallic, with a $1,800 minimum. Final pricing follows an on-site inspection; flake projects over 1,500 square feet receive custom pricing.
Read the written warranty and ask which terms apply to your project.
